Love how the variations take this excellent shot to new levels of beauty; well spotted and beautifully worked, Harry!

beautiful variations of these cracks is due to strong écrats temperatures or improper constitution of the floor on which has been poured asphalt !!!

A really cracking pile of wonderful cracks. Why do we like cracks so much? I like all of these :)

well harry, it's not nearly as easy to comment now as it once was, but it was time to return to your gallery. I hope you can read the white print on black, without getting headaches...(there's probably some software that allows us to change the hue of a web page: I just haven't found it yet.) One other thing, before I comment: I assume you know that the original upload sizes have been restored; and---one of the few pluses of this awful revamping---you can now upload an image of 1 or 2 MB, instead of the old 512 KB. I think it goes higher---I tried 3 MB, and it worked! But I have no idea if it still works. But this means that your zoomed-image can be much larger than before, and therefore much fuller. Also, zooming now requires TWO steps: You hit "Open Full Image" (the blue button under the image), then the image shows in a separate window. Then you zoom THAT image, and you get the full view. They've made it HARDER to zoom now...but at least they didn't remove the function altogether. Anyway, onto your image...
Perfect variations for your original: The original is another of your complex, gritty abstracts, with those 'tectonic' lines, and your usual textures and plays of light and shadow. The flare gives a few rainbow hues to the shot too. The second pic, a fractilius-looking thing, electrifies the image into a sea of multiple currents. Nice light around the black tributaries. The third brings out the grit and grain, and it's quite exciting, like an infrared shot. The fourth seems to play off the third, with an almost acrylic-paint feel, and wonderful violet hues, greens, some orange, etc. And the final one feels like neon closeup of the skin: Fascinating study of the language of lines. All in all, another of your deep studies of line, form, texture and shadow, all from simple cracks in pavement. Fine montage once more, Harry, with another fine original.
