Mirabella and Skylar stand on the stage before the 153 candidates. Skylar lets Mirabella do the talking. She explains to everyone that not all of them will be going to the same place. They each have been given a packet explaining the job they have been chosen for. Nothing is mentioned about the location being off planet for the ones selected for there. There are many surprised faces as the packets are examined with many more questions for Mirabella to field. Skylar fills in when needed and does an adequate job explaining their options. The 25 selected for the new planet are directed to their staging location. The rest are directed to theirs. Several of the factory workers decide this isn't for them and tell Skylar so. He shakes their hands and says that is fine. He was happy they applied and that perhaps something might come up in the future they might be interested in. But the rest seem pleased with the offer of the job and anxiously await further details. The 25 new planet selections seem to be doing just what Mirabella expected them to do, asking the right questions and showing the enthusiasm she felt they would. Since it is possible there might be dropouts here, they are told they will be going to a test facility to see about the psychological effects different gravities and cultures have on the human psyche. The explanation given for the time frame is to see how adaptable they can be when thrown into a primitive environment. The more resourceful they are, the quicker they will advance to a more comfortable position. But first they are directed to wardrobe. There are catalogues on the tables for everyone to look at and choose the costume(s) they would like to wear in the new environment. Once every- one has the opportunity to choose the costumes they like, their measurements are taken and the information sent to Michelangelo and Alexander on the moon to print out in the 3d printers. It doesn't take long before everything is ready. Everyone has been briefed on what to expect in the new environment and told how to act when they meet the new people there. Some practice is encouraged with role playing to help understand what is expected. After about of week of this, the day finally arrives. Everyone gets dressed in their costumes and is ushered to another room somewhere in the benevolent trusts main headquarters. They are taken in an elevator to an undisclosed floor level. False sensation dampers have been installed in the elevator to mask the effect of gravity so they can't tell if they have been taken upward or downward. Once they get off the elevator, they are in a nice sized room. There is much sophisticated looking electronic equipment arranged around the room. Skylar has been thoroughly educated on the operation of the mechanism. He activates it and directs everyone to the gateway. Once they all pass through it, they all are astounded at what awaits them. They knew that the environment was going to be a simulation of some other planet, but they weren't prepared for the degree of detail they encounter. They all are reminded of the halo decks from the old science fiction series. Archie has been waiting for their arrival with two of the Medieval Ladies that have been their escorts on previous trips to the planet. Reed awaits on the other side of the creek thinking to himself that this can't possibly work. Everyone will see through the ruse and the whole experiment will be blown. But everyone seems to be falling in love with the environment. The Ladies are so gracious with their introductions and patiently answer all their questions that no one suspects yet that they are really on a new planet.
