Description

(I was only gonna post one piece tonight, but this is another oldie---from my first camera days---which I felt nostalgic for. It's the facade of a Downtown Chicago building, and hope you like it. I'll be back tomorrow. Thanks again, everyone! Mark)

It is a dizzying POV, perhaps a Spiderman-like POV & the ornateness & rich color gives it extra punch - nice one, Mark...

Oh no, railroad tracks running up the side of a building? Great perspective in this almost-falling-backwards capture of the multilaned gridlike facade, Mark, as it soars high into the upper atmosphere. Plus, outstanding clarity and lighting effects.

the shot is impressive to say the least, however, what I see is the highly detailed workmanship on the building - this was built to not only last for a long time, but look great while doing it!

THAT is why I love older buildings. What an incredibly lovely bit of work. And what an extremely tasty POV and postwork you've done! A winner here for me, Mark.

That's very cool. I love all the details, and your choice of pov is superb. The bay window stacks are the star of the show. Fabulous!

Fantastic vibrant image !! The POV the light the building structure and its color, for me, gives to this image a great sense of strong and a feeling of positivity for the path to the future .

I really really love this shot, even though I am almost tilting backward :-) All the details and the strong colors and clarity is simply so super. And I laughed to tears of Harrys comments. LOL!!!!

Mark, I am so glad you decided to delve into your archives and share another gem from the past with us. You're always so understated on not just your captures, but your talents and insights as well. This façade is extremely detailed and a work of art itself. You did a wonderful job on selecting just the right point of view to highlight it.

Oh man, I'm getting dizzy!! I remember looking up at a few places when I was there, but your perspective is SO great. i thought RR tracks at first too, even though you said it was a building.

Such a lovely building and very cool PoV. The shadows and Arch give away the direction. Think I would need someone to keep me from falling backwards for that shot.

Looking at the thumbnail of gallery of the week # 30 i thought this was a railway track and now see it is a building. Amazing photography. Congratulations for this picture being featured in gallery of the week # 30. God bless.

Hi Mark. I remember this building well...Fisher Building right? Your perspective is magnificent. They just don't make them like this anymore. It is fun to dig around in the files, particularly when you come up with a gem like this!
