Description
Greetings Folks,
Another crew brought home safely, the English coast can be seen just ahead.. With a flick of its wing, the RAF Mustang bids its farewell for this trip, and leaves for Kings Cliffe (I think that was Thunderbolts but hey... )..
This was taken at Legends this year, the Mustang, a P-51D in RAF Marking was a first time show at Duxford while of the B-17 'Sally B'/'Memphis Belle' is now cerebrating its 40th year flying in the U.K. and i the only B-17 flying outside the U.S.
This is the best shot with Mustang 'fully' in view, but the more focused its slight more hidden.. If you would like it top be posted please ask?
I'll show a couple of other shots of her as she flew a very lively display and finally after all the times I've seen her, I got top down views! And some fantastic smoke on shots..
Enjoy
Rob

Looks great with the slight motion blur on the B-17. The P-51 is veering away so the forward motion is diminished in relation to the B-17. It's cool getting 2 fast moving objects with the one slightly blurred and the other not blurred. For those who don't stop and think, this looks like magic. Fantastic shot! Keep up the good work! :-)

Kings Cliffe Thunderbolts? You mean P-47s? Great capture of the Mustang, waving ta-ta to the legendary Memphis Belle as it wings on to everlasting glory. And, your prop blurs have improved 300 percent over the past several flybys, mate. Also, were you inferring that you have shots of the P-51 flying above the B-17?
