Description

Greetings Folks, Right folks, here she is after years of build up and photos of it in various stages of assembly, The Duxford based ARC Bristol Blenheim Mk I in formation with Hawker Hurricane XIIA and 3 Supermarine Spitfires Mk I's.. There are only 4 airworthy MkI Spitfires in the world, and only two built at Southampton home of Supermarine, both those are here.. This is a truly iconic sight, very much as it would have been in France (except fort the later Hurricane Mk, but the same scheme), most of the time the Blenheim crews went on their missions to take out bridges and bomb armoured columns alone without fighter escort.. As you can imagine loses were horrific.. Many of the wars first Victoria Cross's were awarded for attacks such as these.. The war for Britain and indeed the Commonwealth started almost on the spur of the 1st Sept 1939, it never stopped until 1945.. May they be remembered..... As I mentioned, the formations were back yay! Hope you like, using Smith Micros new AKVIS Refocus System, works cool! Enjoy Rob

Formation flying doesn't get any better than this. Delighted to see the Blenheim Mk1 and the Hurri along with all the Spits. Love the sand and spinach camo of the early war.

So, so sharp! What's this new refocus system? I'll have to look it up. My computer has been working very poorly for a long time...finally got it fixed. I should be back for awhile:) Hope all is well with you.
