Description
Greetings Folks,
Forgot about these, Cosford and its many MANY different Jaguars..
At the Airshow I tried to get photos of as many as I could, and duly missed the Apache attack on the airfield and the biggest bangs I'd ever heard and seen at an airshow lol
(Also the the last show attended by a Sea King.).
Cosford is a very big place aside from its brilliant Museum, it is home to many units..
Defence School of Photography.
RAF School of Physical Training.
No 8 Air Experience Flight (Operating the Grob 115 Tutor).
Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering Cosford.
Among many other units and placings..
Its the Defence College that trains with the Jaguars etc and keeps them running on rota.. So, you never know which will be at the next show..
This row was outside the main hanger obviously waiting their turn.. And to think now our wonderful Government just sells them all off for a few pounds, example the Harrier fiasco.. We are still waiting for the horrendously crap Lightning II..
By the way, one our new carriers has rust! Did they not realise it goes in water.. Idiots!
Zoom is on, sorry about grey skies weather closed in..
Enjoy
Rob
P.S. Comments tomorrow folks.

Great to see a row of them like this Rob. Cameron gave 3 million to someone he liked, for their business, 3 weeks ago and now the business has just shut down !!!

Maybe we should all club together and buy the government a tin of Hammerite. As Jeff points out, the things the Tories do are shameful... RBS being another example.

I could write (rant) a stand alone post about this Country and all that's wrong with it, but I'd run out of room and be branded racist and non-PC to boot! Just for being honest.. So, I just stay inside and talk to no-one, see no-one and talk to myself.. Its safer.. I could honestly weep over what my Country has become in so few years.. I agree with you Jeff and Mike.. Rob

Nice pic, Rob. I like it a lot. The Jaguar always struck me as a no-nonsense, down to business, get the job done, no frills kind of aircraft. I really like the way it looks as well. This is a very cool shot.

cool lineup Great capture

Nice line-up Rob. We have the F-35 Lightning II. I see it every day here at Luke!

Jags are the type of aircraft that come in handy when things get sticky. Great shot. As to the F-35: I am not in favor of "one size fits all" combat airplanes. That being said, hopefully the bugs will be worked out of the F-35. When it is in wider service and the pilots and groundcrews have their say we will see what the end result is.

Cool perspective and depth in this neat photo of the Jaguars all in a row, mate. And, by the Lightning II, are you talking about the Lockheed Martin F-35, which was outmaneuvered by the General Dynamics F-16? What an embarrassment.

Let's see an American dentist try hunting these with a bow and arrow LoL!! Don't know what to say, the image is fantastic, the aircraft is 'one of those'.......and I agree with the general rant.....however rust on the carrier!!!! it's pathetic....is it even in the water yet ???

Always like the Jag. Wanted an XJS when I was a kid! Err, oh - not that kind of Jag? :) Seriously - I have always liked the looks of this plane. Sleek, agile but very business-like. Just like its namesake! And mounting the Sidewinders on overwing hardpoints was just cool :) As for the F-35... Ugh. What a load of garbage. Blatant proof to me that defence procurement these days is more about lining corporate pockets than actually defending anything. For the price of one we could probably build enough WWII-era fighters to simply overwhelm any adversary's fleet of modern jets!

NO HUNTING! That said, great photo. What I find interesting is that all the Jag's have the same paint scheme. Should check the Airfix paint scheme against this photo. As for the Torys, they probably are of the opinion that being part of NATO and the EU, England has no foes and hence no risk of a future war. Reminds me off Chamberlain "I have here a paper with Herr H's signature on it" (you know, that "scrap of paper"). Keep up the good work. You suggest you have MORE photos of these big "cats"? POST 'em! :-)

Outstanding shot of these super looking Jags, Rob! Really awesome planes! They look good even under cloudy skies. You think you have problems..... Have you seen the choices we have to pick from lately??? Lord help us......
