Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Beautiful seascape - I love the way that thin strip of water bisects the shoreline - it makes this view stand out from the pack...

Fabulous! That is the sort of beach I should like to live near.

Beauty and solitude. What more could a man want unless its his garden shed.

I love the Oregon coast. I have never seen a really croweded beach there and this peace and quiet is common there. I love this shot.

we all need peace and quiet now and again

Beautiful scene Bill. If you don't mind me saying, to my eye this photo's colour cast may be a bit on the blue side.

Beautiful coastal view! So much prettier than the flat coasts on our southern shores. Love the trees and cliffs.

Just looking at this makes me all calm and reflective. What a beautiful photo, Bill!

Splendid.

That is exactly what I need after attending a very crowded and noisy auto show yesterday. Lots of fun, but exhausting. Anyway, an ultra splendid capture of calm and quiet Cape Sebastian, with its lush sand and ocean.

That is my sort of place to walk the girls. x

Beautiful! I could spend months shooting the Oregon coast.

That is so beautiful and with only one set of footprints in the sand - could be a dog. The heavy clouds are out over the ocean.

Re Colour Cast : I get that at Duxford on certain airshows and very blue skies, turns all the photo bluish.. Takes a bit of fiddling to fix the colours.. Again, a beautiful and remote shot, no people.. I like!!!! Rob

Some of my favorite coast line is from Gold Beach, south to the Sinkyone Wilderness in Nor Cal. Not to exclude the cliffs at Port Orford, but that's farther north up the Oregon coast. Such a low populace area has kept this coastline beautiful.
Great image, wish I was standing there now!!!!
