UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

and yet some fins were placed so as to 'make a point' about their presence. and if they were any sharper, could gut a person as they walked by. Great shot of this fin

I recall these monstrosities back in the day. great capture. I love the 57 Chevy behind it more so

I was 8 years old when these bad boys came out. My parents had a 1956 Caddy at the time, soon to be replaced by a 1957 Caddy, but these '59s just blew me away. The best one I ever saw though, was a 1959 Caddy chopped and customized like an El Camino at a 1965 car show. With the cutout pick-up bed the fins became even more pronounced! Absolutely my favorite customized car I have ever seen live! Nice pic, Bill.

A perfect POV and photo Bill and Clint Eastwood's "pink Cadillac" was my favorite!

Nothing like a Cadillac fin of old. One of my favorites is of the 1949 Cadillac, photos of which I posted yesterday, Bill.

1959 caddy--biggest fins ever!!! My son built this crazy car, started with a 49 Plymouth and had those taillights on it. He also had a chain from a chain saw going down the middle, front to back. And no, I never got pix of it and now he's sold it!!

That's incredible! I have no idea where I was when you took this shot, because I would have told you I've never seen one of these before. LOL! I've probably got five pictures of it and never thought twice. :P This is a terrific picture, hon. :*

Those are pretty amazing fins, almost like the Batmobile...love your POV, well captured!

What a beautiful shiny shot of these incredible fins.

I do remember them & they definitely stand out from the crowd. Do I like 'em? Sure, because they look like rocket ship fins... BTW, Bill, for a current working model of a futuristic car, check out: https://youtu.be/wHJTZ7k0BXU

Oh yeah..... I remember those fins - you'd think those old cars could fly! I really liked them when I was a kid - they looked so futuristic. I still like them! LOL A great shot here, Bill!
moochagoo
I loved those cars when I was young :)
CavalierLady
Very nice, Bill! I like that you isolated the predominant feature rather than showing the whole car. The light and reflections are perfect. Nicely done.
