Description
Greeting Folks,
At last, on my 11th visit to Flying Legends, this year I managed to get (except for a lagging B-25 and P-38), the entire Balbo, the grand finale of Legends.
This shows why it has become THE mecca for Piston Heads the world over and is now rated the Warbird show to attend..
Neil has seen this for himself and Sig has been though I believe it rained on one day.. All the show by the way is organised in the air by a lady pilot.. Respect to her and having seen her fly, I can tell you she is remarkably good..
So, if next years Legends is as good as this one, get there if you can..
See what you can see, there are at least 5 one off's!
Enjoy
Rob

Great Great shot!!!
T.Rex
I can see 23. Fantastic! With this many you may be able to defeat the Russian air force if they should consider attacking (considering the UK is almost out of modern planes. End rant!) This is what it must have looked like with a muster to meet the Luftwaffe during the BoB. Great job getting them all in one photo. And THANKS for posting! :-)

Terrific mass aeroplane capture, mate.

I stand and salute!....bravo sir....and just look at all that prop blur!!!...Seriously, truly, honestly impressed by this mate.
RodS
This is just off the scale, Rob! Holy cow, mate - I'll bet the ground shook.... Just look at all those beauties in the air at once... An amazing shot, my friend. And I'd love to be there someday!

Yes but I bet when the RAF with their fighters and heavy bombers took off in WW2 it was an great sight all those weapons of death taking off in one fly over
Tamarrion
Probably the #1 reason Legends is so high on my "bucket" list! Lets see, there's a Spitfire or two, a couple of Mustangs, a P40 with the P36 alongside, A 109 or two perhaps? I think I see a P-47 as well. Also a Corsair.. and definitely a Martlet!

Wow, what a shot!

Thanks Rob! I'm with Tamarrion and his list. Super shot getting 23 of these guys in the air together! It is definitely on my bucket list. Maybe RodS and I can get over their together one day??? This needs to be seen with other enthusiasts.

Very nice, but it's a pity you couldn't get a few more in the frame. ;)

Fantastic capture Rob. Yes, I have seen it last year and we saw them fly, just about as many as you captured. Too bad one can't add the sound to it, which is half the pleasure. The P-38 and the Ju-52 weren't there last year, but plenty of Spitfires.
