Results of a new toy I purchased, similar to Fractal, but nowhere as complicated and well equipped. A poor man's Fractal, if you will. I am just testing the waters with this application; a mere rookie at this juncture. Hence, Claude has nothing to be concerned about as far as him remaining king of the deep space crowd. Perhaps with further practice I can also create images with a non deep space motif.

I misread you the first time I read your description: This isn't a fractal per se, just similar to one. But whatever it is, you made a beautiful apophysis-like image, with not only beautiful swirls, but other textures as well. The flares in the middle make a gridwork, like city streets from the air, or like a heavy gridwork of metal. And you have lots of depth in the periphery too. If you don't know "apophysis," it's a wonderful fractal program---maybe available for Mac, I don't remember.---which makes these cosmic 'bursts', which is what brought apophysis to mind. It's really exciting that you're working in a whole new medium: You dive into it with real passion...all the pieces you've done with it are delightful and expressive. A big exploding star, with deep rich purples all around...
