Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

I love the humor of the feet! If you had stood on the other side, it would have been a classy image of people quietly enjoying a museum. But with those sculptures in the foreground, it's just a giggle! Love this!!

ditto Tara! What a juxtaposition! The assignation is, I assume, the man and woman---with the man nearly eclipsed (mysterious rendezvous). With those looming paintings around them, it's a shot in itself. But with that big leg cutting right into the shot? Just sticking its nose into everything? And that foot in front of that? Brilliant! What a riot! To me, that's the 'assignation'---these statues are just sticking their noses into that couple's business, either that or they're desperate to get in the shot...I love this. Great lineup! And that bust is looking on, ruefully...terrific!

Wonder what the foot piece was called & who lost a foot. The couple are intriguing too!!!

almost ironic in the composition with a foot against the woman (suppression of the females?) Wonderful capture Andrea

It certainly has the look! But your inclusion of the leg and foot adds a great touch of humor. All I saw at first was the foot...then the blonde hair and then all the gilded frames...only on a second, detailed close examination did I see the man in the back... Surprised me and brought your very apt title into full focus. You've got the eye for this kind of thing. Love it!

Or...."Hurry up and get dressed! No dear there is nothing behind you worth looking at."
The composition here is brilliant. If this is an assignation you are not the only one observing. The young woman in the painting above them seems to be looking at them. The girl in the right hand painting looks horrified. Even the bust seems to be looking at them. What a great find!
