Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

A delightful capture. I love Fritz in both shots, in 'position', and waiting. (I sometimes think dogs will wait out humans to the end of time, esp if they know they'll win...) And Rosie isn't waiting for any gifts or acts of kindness---just the Ok to go to sleep, as you say. Lovely shot of the two of them, with Fritz not caring how ostentatious he is. I have a relative like that---if he wants something, you better give it to him, or else he'll be in your way until you do. Love this series; as I've said, if you made a book of these, I'd be in line at the bookstore the next morning...(well, online...do they still have book stores???)

Rosie's expression brings up so many possibilities. "He's in my spot." Or "You see what I have to put up with?" Fritz, on the other hand, is happily oblivious to anything that does not involve a massage. Your children are such charmers.

Oh what a sweet and intimate shot! Love the details on Rosie... those eyebrows! The vet always did the teeth cleaning on my dogs. They simply would not tolerate a toothbrush.

Mine waits on her back for belly rubs at bedtime too; Rosie looks sleepy and wanting you to put down the camera and turn off the lights! Sweet babies!

I'm a world-class doggie-belly rubber. :) Rosie looks tired, like she's been up reading too long. LOL!
