Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

ditto Andrea. I love how you have him on one side, bending over his violin and against that door, and with all that intense light on our left...A real introspective capture, as if you caught him totally unawares (maybe you did). It reminds me of Jocko's work, it even has Jocko's painting-colors. A beautiful shot of your love, with a feeling of looking in on someone who's privately communing with their inner self; and as a musician, I 'concur'---meaning, it's 100% true to music-making. Beautiful moment and feeling, Marilyn.

A wonderful candid shot. He looks like he is about to run out the door.
