Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

this is a very beautiful Tea Pot, one that could easily be used in the chanoyu. Wonderful photos thanks for sharing

Absolutely stunning Andrea...both the image and the techniques used to create this. Imagine using ash!

beautiful shape and finish, and I love the appendages and the flat cover. And the stout squat spout. You were doing fine work all the way back then. And it's photographed very nicely against that simple wall and flat surface. Plus you know how much I love your logo, with the dual R's and the somewhat Celtic A (and those great mushrooms and your 1890s' lettering). I'd buy this for my home easily. It's squat and bulbous and very attractive. And the yellow-green tints in the glaze are beautiful against that flesh-toned reddish brown. A terrific tea pot.

What an incredibly lovely piece. The glaze is so pleasing to look at, and I can imagine how the surface feels, all the way from over here. That simple, flat top contains such peace and calm within its design that it makes me relax just to see it, never mind how nice a cup of tea might be. The spout has such lovely proportions, and the handle on the back is intriguing! It's a beautiful piece of pottery, and the handle is a nice finish.
As for the photograph ... wow. Wonderful lighting, and beautifully done. I like the shadows and the edge behind the pot.
Truly a combination of several of your talents in one image!
