My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Happy Holiday dear Tara!!!

Beautiful. The same to you and Bill!
anahata.c
just beautiful...a city-of-lights all in reflections...what the real source is we don't know, and it doesn't matter, as the reflections are all...And all the black around them makes it a perfect holiday image, shimmering in the night, arrayed out like diadems and jeweled gowns. The Solstice is at the hidden center of these holidays, in the northern hemisphere, with light emerging out of darkness; they chose this time for Christmas in part to compete with the Solstice, and in the process they absorbed the solstice; and Chanukah is all about lights in the dark (you know all this, I'm just reiterating to make the point); and we all resonate with that primal fact, we all feel "light in the middle of darkness" in our bones. This is a beautiful Solstice and holiday image. I hope yours and Bill's holiday is peaceful and beautiful, and I wish you both a terrific new year. (And as for a snowy Christmas: 88 degrees is hot, Tara, it's hot. Our Christmas will be more like 40 degrees---which is not hot. Even for Chicago, that's not hot.) Stay cool! A wonderful holiday to you both, and thank you for all the beauty, vision, creativity, joy and everything else that you bring here all year long, as well as your dedication to making this site its best. And for all you give in the galleries as well. It's appreciated by all your fans, Including me.

The Christmas celebrations are well and truly over (for us here 'Down Under' anyway) - and I hope you both had a wonderful Christmas with all your loved ones (or the ones, you wished to be with) and now it's on to the countdown for the New Year and so it is time to reflect and this image really does just that - you hit the nail on the head with this composition Tara so, it's on with more celebrations - I wish you both good health for the coming year...
Big cheers BB

And a very Happy Holiday to you too. Sorry I am so late, dear Tara. I try to catch up, but it is hard and you know why. This is a wonderful reflection shot. Love the deep darkness and the wonderful light.
