Description
Another fungus from our walk in Corbett. I did my best to identify it via google & I believe it's a scarlet cup (scientific name sarcoscypha coccinea), though I could be wrong...

in glancing back through your gallery, I see that I lost this somewhere...it's an intimate shot, not because it's a macro, but because of the intense dark and highlights: It's like a peek into something asleep...love the blue light here, and the contrast of that fungus. I couldn't tell you what it is: If the above people haven't identified it, then I certainly I can't! (Andrea has volumes on these things. You've seen her library in her gallery.) A very engaging shot, like we're peeking-in on a private moment. And fungi are outa sight...nothing like them in nature...
