Description

On either side of the Theseus sculpture (my previous post) at the Kunsthistorisches Museum are two identical lions holding the Habsburg coat of arms...

I love the contrast between the statue and its surroundings. That, and the detail you got. What a terrific image! Whatever you did to get the light that way ... it's just perfect.

So excellent! (I think that one of them should have a big lion-sized bite taken out of the corner...it would be more realistic with some tooth-marks, don't you think?)

lol, denise again...yes, with tara, beautiful light. And angles too--the railings moving up and down to the lion make fine movement. And the light on the gold in the marble are fine contrast to the lion's white. You're really fine at museum shooting: You get the feel of objects in these strange and special 'houses'. And you handle the spectators really well too. This is another terrific series from you...

(and speaking of coats of arms, why didn't I get one? Who are the Habsburgs that they get them, and I don't...maybe I'll draw one and post it...)
