Description

I could keep posting photos of the Alps, but I think it is time to move on to the next day of our vacation. We were still staying in Switzerland with my cousin, but he lives in Basel, which is right next to both France and Germany so it was an easy day trip to drive along the wine route through the Alsace region of France. There are so many charming towns and gorgeous vineyard covered hills along the way that is is a pleasure to the eyes. I am particularly fond of the way they decorate their windows and doorways with flowers almost everywhere there. Of course I could not resist "just one more flowery photo" an average of every 5 to 10 minutes. I really must give a positive shout our to my ever kind and very patient husband for putting up with my flower mania. This little montage is just a sample of the flowery flavor of the region that I so enjoyed. And before I forget again...thanks to all of you who have welcomed me back so warmly. I am enjoying spending time here again and seeing your fantastic photography and artwork.

What a wonderful series of photographs giving us a peek into a fairytale landscape. They are all beautiful but the picture looking up towards the vineyards is a superb composition. A place for my bucket list.

I agree with Mark about the photo looking up into the vineyards...and really, all of these are beautiful pics. Really fine tones, lots of fine wear and tear which gives beauty and character to everything it's on, some terrific perspectives (the top middle shot for example), and much beautiful light too. A wonderful montage. (And when you returned here, I wonder how you felt when you confronted the "new" renderosity? I came back earlier than you, and I felt I'd just stepped into another planet...)

It actually took me a while to figure out where to find things. But, some of the changes I like such as that I do not have to change the sizes of my photos anymore toupload them. Before they were always too big.
