I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

This is a wicked scene Rod! I can imagine a T.N.A. Outpost hidden out there!
I'm not too sure about the merging either as I was able to get good prices at RNDA. I don't know what their price points will be now.
RodS
They will be HIGH, no doubt.... :-(
Richardphotos
this reminds me of Death Valley. superb photography Rod. I did notice that they were pushing studio only products. I wonder why? well, they have been a favorite of mine as renderosity, so now I will reduce or only purchase here
Diemamker
Well I know one thing.. you can kiss any more things for V4 goodbye!... knowing DAZ, they'll be selling only G3 stuff from now on!
Now where did I see this before?... interesting shot!
Freethinker56
Very interesting formation looks great ..When I got the email about RDNA... my mouth dropped i couldn't believe what I was reading and reread hoping i had read wrong.. In any business you need competition ...This has made for a very sad day
Madbat
Looks like Drumheller Alberta, we have the same kinda landscape there.
Yeah, that merger did not go over well at all. I'm not thrilled about it and I use daz almost exclusively. I feel bad for poser users, this is not a good thing. We need diversity and some healthy market competition.
MagikUnicorn
Spectacular erosion....create in couples catastrophic days !
giulband
Very very well taken, great sense of image's composition !!!!
Daddywolf
At first I though it was a picture of your Colonoscopy
renecyberdoc
well man ,i am scared when in the future only one company will dominate the market,i wonder when its rendos turn to be swallowed...and then the can dictate..in the future only daz connect and daz encryption you will see.Hail to the reich!!!

Glad that heart is still pumping, Rod. Hope all is well, and a cool shot. I'm thinking like Mike on the T.N.A.Outpost. also did not hear that news.
synthetik3
fantastic photo love the detail.
helanker
That is a really fabulous texture. Tree trunk-ish :)
GrandmaT
Neat photo! Well, there goes another reasonably priced site. The only time I can afford DAZ is when they have one of their MEGA sales. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait and see how it goes. Hope you get some down time soon - the good kind that is.

That's a pic Rod. Yes. I saw mention of the merger last night over at FA. It doesn't bother me one way or the other. Never been a huge fan of RDNA anyway. Guess I picked the right time to learn DS. Trust me, it's not so bad once you start to get the nack of it.
npauling
Well spotted and captured, those textures are fabulous. Yes I did see that they had merged, it seems you have to be big to survive these days worse luck.
Windigo
Fantatic landscape! Really unfortunate there will be less competition, big fish, small fish etc
Desgar
You'd probably not want to find out what could be lurking within those crevices. However if T.N.A took over then they could do the dirty work. ;)
Even though I use solely DAZ these days, I support Poser and hope there will be still be places to get content for it. There should be room for both!

Awesome photo Rod!!

Wow, you could have told me this was a picture from the moon and it would be believable. I too am behind in comments and I am not even doing any renders...smile.
I am sure Rendo is salivating at the prospect of some sort of take over. I am curious about what Smith Micro's response will be. Their upper management can not be happy. If they do not get off their duffs Poser stands to become irrelevant in the not too distant future. Of course it is their own darn fault, their characters suck. They had one good one to start when they took over, Miki, but then seemed to lose interest, and never developed any decent characters. When they first took over Poser I went to their site a lot and bought a lot of content, but it progressively became more sucky with only cheesey products that I stopped going....Oh well time will tell.
Savage_dragon
That's very cool. And no. I am NOT happy about the merge. I don't Like DAZ.
shadownet
That is a very cool formation. Yes, been a lot of change lately. I am just trying to go with the flow as best I can. :)
RodS
Yeah, I think that's all any of us can do, Rob - go with the flow. The next few months are going to be interesting, that's for sure! I know you, Jenny, and Ken will do fine no matter what. :-D
magnus073
Rod, you did a great job on this very detailed capture. I was excited to hear about the merger with Daz and hope it works out great for everyone.
KatesFriend
It reminds me that nature's power will always dwarf man's hubris in the end. Excellent shot.
adorety
Cool pic Rod, love the formations.
Maybe the RDNA part will handle Poser and DAZ concentrate on, well, DAZ. I think Poser is still strong, so there should be a market for it.
adrie
It's a great photoshot Rod, it looks like a close-up capture of a mountian wall. If so i would love to use with your permission Rod for to create a fantasy scene. Please can you let me know if it's oke by you.
RodS
Yes, absolutely! I can't wait to see what you create with it, Adrie! :-D
jocko500
