Description
Such a tiny bit of fluff, and she is so gentle with him. She is very careful to not step on him. After she settles in the nest, She looks at me as if to ask me what I think about her new baby. I sat there today and talked with her for about an hour. She always seems to be listening to me. While I do not believe she knows my words, I am sure she knows my tone and feelings. She as chosen to allow me to share in watching her chick grow up. I believe this is the highest honor I have ever been given. I have had a hard time since losing my mother. I have not felt truly happy since then. As I watched this mother with this special baby, and saw how she welcomed me, I realized that what I felt was pure joy. Now, I am happy.

Thanks for sharing. I have a hard time to see the little ball of fluff, but know it's there from her body language. I'm glad to hear she listens. She's got you as a human friend. I talk to Kitty but doubt if she understands the "strange noises" I'm making. But she understands tone. I wish I could have the privilege you have with a bird like this. I wonder - would she accept food from you if you left it and walked away? That's also a sign of trust. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to more photos of the happy family! :-)
