They must be expecting a crowd. Well spotted. ☺

The tables are permanently rooted to the pavement below, so no matter if only one person shows up, or a hundred, they are always there.

Are these tables made of concrete or that recycled heavy plastic stuff that they make docks and walkways from? I guess if they were concrete they would be so heavy they wouldn't be movable, and that wouldn't be too practical, but you just never know. They make for a great photographic subject shining in the sunlight like this, wonderful work!

not easy to skip the images I'm skipping, but when you get to an image like this, it's worth it. I loved this when it went up, love it now. Denise's question is partly answered by your answer to Nancy (npauling). But yes, when I look closely, I agree with Denise that these tables look like they could be made of concrete. And in any case, your blaring light makes them shine and shout, and yet the grain and weight of them really comes across, despite the full light cascading down on them. The angle---you're very keen with angles---makes them look like they go on like this for miles (to the left of the shot, before we "came in"). And the light even dissolves some of the background. Terrific light-shadow work, and the concrete has real character too.
