Description
This started with a photo of a large mirror with a very ornate carved wood frame (comes from Thailand) that hangs in our front hallway. I removed the middle section (the reflection of me taking the photo) & replaced it with a photo that I took several winters ago (previously posted here at Renderosity). Then I created a texture for the wall that is actually a combination of about a dozen different preset textures (whose parameters I tweaked considerably) in Perfect Effects, my favorite Photoshop plugin. The trickiest part of that was masking out the intricate shape of the mirror so that the texture wouldn't be applied to the wood. Too much information?

Absolutely brilliant, Claude! Not too much info for me, your fellow Digifiddler.

Incredible image! You worked hard to get what you wanted and, it appears to me, you got exactly what you had in your mind's eye.
