You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia, if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !** that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

I would love to walk on your Ozzie beach. The water really is that warm? Amazing! It would spoil me for my side of the Pacific forever! This is a beautiful image, dearest BB. As many thanks as grains of sand, and a castle full of love! :)

The city looks like it's rising up from the ocean, as if by some kind of magic. Beautiful scene.

I seem to recall that Surfer's Paradise was once upon a time just that. What happened? A superb contrast between the innocent child's castle and the line of giant buildings looming in the distance like an invasion fleet. Hopefully they will never land on your beach.

It seems the sand castle in mimicking the high-risers...but way better looking in style and form, if it gets too big, you can just turn it back into sand, un-like Surfer's P... there is no hope for that end of the coast and as for getting a tan with those monster shadows...FORGET IT !
Anyhoo, super image tweaking for Tara and have an awesome day !
~Cheers~

A very beautiful capture for Tara and I am sure she would love to walk in your beautiful sand. I can see why you like this beach away from the maddening crowd. We always seek out the deserted beaches too. ☺

Such lovely words, and amazing great photography is an unique gift for our Birthday girl, BB-chen*. What I love too is the contrast between background, castle and sea. To be precisely, it really looks like three!

I intend to comment on all of Tara's birthday dedis, but I had to do this first because you mentioned me and my city (and my upload for tara), for which I thank you. And I got a great smile out of it! Tara said she never crawled under bushes, but I meant that she disappeared "into" the bushes, and emerged crouched down. Maybe she was crouching at the end of them, but if you stood where I stood, it would look like she'd hid under them and then emerged into civilization...Well, in this beautiful grainy almost metallic image---and very sci-fi-like too---you've put civilization way in the distance. This must be a big bay for those towering high rises to be out there in the dusty distance. They make a mysterious almost fairy tale presence on the other side of this beach. The water is done like a print, and it feels almost like it's etched on. I love the texture you got on it, and those grainy wave-peaks. And then the beach has that sand castle, which really looks like some natural formation from a desert: It's like a geological formation carved out by ages. The image is another Brigitte piece of magic: I never know what you're gonna do next, and you always do it, and you always surprise me. A terrific image, and wonderful for tara and her birthday. I've had that sensation of sand between the toes on a warm day, btw, I know how peaceful it can be. Beautifully done all around.

Absolutely wonderful capture, Brit! Especially the sea bordered with the city's misty tall skyline.I am sure Tara loves it. Belated happy birthday to her!

OMG You have made my mouth water with envy Brigitte.
We are a least a four day drive from the Western Coast line but do have a lot of nice small lakes and beaches close by.
Ha and as far as warming up---- the water may reach a balmy 15C on the hottest day of Summer in our neck of the woods.
The Ocean water, beach and sandcastle look so pretty. What a gorgeous spot to avoid the crowded areas.
Wonderful photo, post work and beautiful Birthday gift for your friend Brigitte, well done.
