Description
Captured 5/26/16 @ 8:47 am, about a half mile from home.
Also, a bit ratty, with about five more in the owner's front yard.

I wrote about this enough to you, so it's time I comment on it. You say "a bit ratty": And how! Just amazing that it holds its own when it looks like it just came out of either a steambath (and is wilted) or it just climbed 6 mountains and is about to collapse. Great detail on the center. And the petals are luminous with wonderful shadow. And that front leaf---what, did someone pour powdered sugar all over it? The house is positioned just right too; and the pic really does break down into 3's---bottom, middle and top. You have all that green and blue, and boom: That big beast of a flower telling everyone to f-off if they don't like it. I love this. An in your face shot.
