I had to look up the title of this tree---yes, it's shaped like a coolie hat. I never knew there was such a tree. (Google brought me to several bonsai sites. You were listed too!) Anyway, you got a good low angle for this, with lots of shadow beneath and still lots of light underneath as well. A fine capture of a difficult tree---by which I mean, such a low-lying, broadly spread-out tree would be a real challenge for me. Esp with higher trees around, and poles, etc. You caught the special space it carves out for itself. And the feeling of peace beneath it. I've never seen one of these in the midwest...
