Description
Wandering around the plaza I came to the Church of the Holy Trinity (Iglesia Parroquial de la SantÃsima Trinidad). Construction began on the current church in the late 19th century and it was completed in 1892. It was built on the site of a previous 17th-century church that was destroyed during the 19th century by a cyclone. I was told it is the largest cathedral in Cuba and, while not much to look at from the outside, I found the inside rather impressive.

don't know why, but I just love the tilt here! Maybe you were trying to get it all in, but the tilt gives it real energy and character. Another shot that shows much more in zoom. You really take to the bold color-contrasts of Cuba, and to the contrasts of stone streets with large 'smooth' walls. (I realize they're anything but 'smooth', but I mean a number of them are plaster or stone, rather than bricks or other repeating elements.) In your tilt, the facade seems a grand anachronism, holding its own despite everything else, sitting there defiantly with a strange power. And the lone guy on the donkey not only gives scale (andrea), but adds a wonderful human side to this looming facade. Another fine street shot from you, esp full size.
