Description

Here is my take on the monthly challenge 'The Unusual Subject Gallery' for August called ~ Old Bridge ~ . *** ... and this is a very old, old bridge, 'a-la-natural' you may say, to be found in the State of New South Wales, Australia, at Queanbeyan (Aboriginal meaning for 'clear waters')

Yeah, I'd say that's a VERY old bridge. Beautiful capture, and I like the very subdued color effect.

It's an amazing photo and spot, Brigitte, I just love this place, and wonder if one can walk over that natural bridge. What I'm sure of is that this really is "clear water", as a "clear pic".

Ha ha, it's a Fred Flintstone bridge...and look, there's Barney chasing down his next burger...Bronto burger that is !

I also like the subtle hint of colour on the sepia base, very cool BB !

~Cheers~

I know I wrote to you about this---I was way inundated at the time, but I was so impressed with the shot, I remember writing to you in some form. It's exceptional. The detail on the rock is beautiful, as is the detail on the water---in the background (under the bridge), the ripples are scintillating and clear. The shadows are wonderful, and your choice of sepia is perfect. Like old nature photography. But the detail and sweep and 'protected' feeling, along with the beautiful contrast of water and rock, and all the steep rock details---these make this a monumental capture. Great work, Brigitte. 20 stars.
