Description
Second in this series, this one employing two POVs, of the delicious looking crêpes suzette, or merely a stack of plain old pancakes. Actually it's some sort of fungi, possibly inedible, growing on or out of a big tree trunk, captured 8/30/16 @ 8:24 am, while I was strolling along one of the lengthy sidewalks near home. Honey or syrup with a dollop of yogurt on top, anyone?
ZOOM if you are so inclined.

In the second photo the fungi looks like it's taking a bite out of itself.

with Helle, I'll pass on the invitation to put syrup and yogurt on top! I have a feeling I'd be done-in if I had this for breakfast. Yes this does look like a crêpes Suzette. (Is that singular or plural? I never knew.) It also looks like a dinner roll trying desperately to become a crab. Or a dinner roll doing yoga. Or a puff pastry on a bad hair day. Great capture; and, because you gave us two versions, we get to see how multi-segmented and convoluted this thing really is. It really does look like a crawling creature. Fine light on the thing---part of it looks ceramic. And you brought out the detail in the bark; and the bark looks like a big swirling cauldron of fall-like hues and topographical maps. It's a beautiful rich background...A sterling capture of one of natures more bizarre structures. And it looks like an art piece too---a ceramic sculpture. Wonderful work on these, Harry.
