Description

The dark clad figure peering in the window turns out to be a police detective who saw the light on in the study and let himself inside finding Hailey working late on the upper level. She is coming down the spiral stairs to meet him. “Detective inspector Arram Gude here, so sorry to have bothered you, miss. You see, part of my job is to keep an eye on the old place and look out for intruders. I was told the new librarian would be getting here next week, so when I saw the light on, I had to find out what was going on.” “I’m Hailey. You scared me for a moment there…” (Dedicated to the memory of StudioArtVartanian who created the marvelous character Aram who will be contributing so much to the future course of this story. And thanks to Maddelerium for Hailey, who comes across as a real person and of course BlueTreeStudios for the Modular Mansion where I am still finding surprises in its nooks and crannies.)
