Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

These windows are awesome, Bill & you captured the lighting beautifully. Would love to see them in person & up close, but I'm unlikely to be visiting deep south Texas, so will have to enjoy them vicariously through your photos...

An amazing collection of the finest glass works ever. Cool! Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays.

I love stained glass. Such craft and beauty. You've captured a wonderful collection. Except for the illuminated phone screen I could imagine Tara praying. What am I saying? Now days people probably text while they pray.

What an experience this must have been! A cleverly taken photo, Bill!

Thanks a LOT, Bill! I love these windows, whether Tiffany or medieval. The swirling blues and greens in the front side windows is particularly beautiful. I didn't know there is a Tiffany museum in Texas. I assume you took more than this photo - I'd be very glad if you could post a few more. Keep up the good work. :-)
I assume Tara will do some posting, too.

Hehe - I knew it was Tara as soon as I saw the photo! LOL Getting her closeups as always..
What a great photo, Bill! The stained glass windows are perfectly exposed, and there is still enough light to be able to recognize Tara. Nicely done, my friend!
We get to see the result of her phone-tograph, right? :-D

yes, as Rod says, Tara's getting her closeups as always, lol...But when you said that was Tara in the corner, I was expecting you to say "that's Tara in the center, with the wings"---I was gonna say "Texas really suits Tara well!" In addition to the lovely dark mystery of Tara, the presence of these windows against that stark black make for a beautiful luminous photo, with real clarity and mystery. If it weren't for the plaques---with lights atop---these could be floating in infinite space. Beautifully done, and full size is a must.
