Yes I think I like the roll idea!

it actually looks like a huge concert hall built by Gehry or FLWright. Impressive, with those dark houses below to give contrast. This shot really does demand lots of sky, and you gave it, with a low horizon. And I can't figure how you got to the 'other end' of that Zeppelin cloud: I don't know clouds well enough, but can one actually drive/walk far enough to see the other end of a huge cloud? Or maybe you waited till it drifted that way. Whatever, it's a fine portrait of a beautiful cloud.

Thank you for your suggestion on my last upload: I tried it (without the cloning because of time), and yes, it's a fine composition and complete image. The cloning, etc, would complete it even more...I just saw the ground as part of the milieu. (In fact, I cropped out quite a bit---another building, a bicycle, etc.) But I really liked the ground stuff. Always a visual risk when you allow things into a complete pic: I can see why you liked your pov. For me, the ground 'grounded' the shot, but it shows that no piece is ever 'complete': There are several ways of extracting a shot. That's one of the reasons I've done "panel" pieces: Truly, it's because I don't want to 'pick one'; so I figure, why not pick 3? (I mean, what the hell...) Thanks for your critique. It's totally valid.

Mark - I meant that this cloud was at the other end of the sky that was visible to me, not the other end of the cloud. There was a large expanse of empty sky between the two clouds.

Lenticular clouds are so cool - now I'm hungry for Cinnabon!
