Description
Captured way back on 10/18/09, at the beautiful Orchid Show held at the beautiful Huntington Botanical Center and Conservatory in beautiful San Marino, California.
Beautiful as it is, this one looks like it is either down in the mouth, or has a bloody nose.

How this doesn't have 20 comments, I don't know. A stunning orchid capture. The light is soft and gorgeous, yet the detail is sharp. The melds of colors---esp orange to purple, and the yellows to green-yellows---are beautiful and sensual. While the flower does look down in the mouth, or with bloody nose (as you wrote), the shadow of its angle gives even more drama to the hues. Such sensual flow between colors; and the shapes are gorgeous too. The background makes a perfect backing, and the leaves to the right are fine counterpoint. a wonderful shot, Harry, and cropped perfectly.
