Preparing lunch. When it's nice weather, people would eat out doors, except in crowded cities. I wonder what's on the menu? And just what yummie drink is in that barrel?
(I hate to disappoint you, but the barrel was empty, which is why it's SO CLEAN! Newly made. Well, maybe something inside it next year!)
The photo shows some of the medieval clothing worn by participants. And, yes, some modern wear, too. So anachronistic!
Enjoy, but don't work up too much of an appetite! Slobbering on the key board is not healthy for your computer!

At the Ren-fests we have here, they have giant turkey drumsticks (for sale), and they are delicious! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it....
Cool photo of the lunchtime preparations. Perhaps cold mutton and small beer..... A staple of the times..
