Description
This is a collage and postwork based on two photos of mine, ( except the portrait of Akbar, played here by actor Hrithik Roshan, for the movie Jodhaa Akbar, which I copied from the internet) that I took in India before one of the side-doors to Mughal Emperor Akbar's tomb, built in 1605 and situated on the outskirts of Agra,India. Akbar the Great, was the Mughal emperor, who significantly influenced the course of Indian history. During his rule, the Mughal empire tripled in size and wealth. He created a powerful military system and instituted effective political and social reforms. By abolishing the sectarian tax on non-Muslims and appointing them to high civil and military posts, he was the first Mughal ruler to implement religious tolerance and win the trust and loyalty of the native subjects.
I was also fascinated by the serene silence of the place and experimented myself the amazing echoeing feature of these arches: if you whisper and speak very softly against the wall of an arch at one end of the archway, the sound is mysteriouly and clearly transmitted at the far end of the archway if someone sticks his ear against the wall without anyone walking nearby hearing anything !!! Just enthralling !
Please, zoom in for details !Thank you so much for your support on my former Indian picture, and have a nice week-end.

Fantástica foto meu amigo ,bela arquitetura do arco parece que no final o arco vai ficando menor,o efeito do imperador ficou magnifico. Fabulosa narração queria ficar falando e ouvindo na parede do arco, parece divertido e mistico.

Beautiful Jean-Luc. Interesting historical information. Have you ever read anything by John Masters? He was an Indian-born British officer that served in India and became an author writing about the British role in the history of India after that country's independence.
