Description
On the show my lens decided to go AWOL, many new aircraft were due to show, this being one. Only two are left airworthy in the world, and only 66 were ever built. It was derived from the the Comet, and led directly to the Mossie.
This was rescued from South Africa, won an award at Oshkosh when it returned there where it very briefly lived in the Mid 80's.
Maybe I'll get a shot airborne next time. It now in the U.K.
I've booked Legends, they have at least got a new DC-3 I've not seen before! lol

I really like these old cabin biplanes with their Art Deco Streamline look. The engines make me shudder. I shouldn't as it has survived this long with good care.

This is a beautiful aircraft! I wouldn't mind taking a ride in it

It's what a 1930s plane should look like- slim, trim and looking fast even when its on the ground.

Daddy of the Mossie? THE Mosquito? How interesting! I'll have to look that up! I've always wondered about the Mossies origines, as it's so different from the other planes made in the UK. Keep up the good work! :-)

What a pretty plane!!! Can see all the 1930s design features here...still deep in the process of figuring our the whole business of streamlining. Fine pic at the zoom. Even the weather was cooperating for you:)
