Masterful, Barb. This is what I talk about when I talk about your managing so many different elements in one image. You've got this beautiful angled street, with beautiful perspective lines leading to the back. You've got some beautiful architectural details, with even a "Fine Art" place. You've got pumpkins and---well, they look like pumpkin ghosts---strewn in the background. All melding into a singular image (with gate, trees, fence, etc.)
Then you have the guy upfront: He's got a great posture, and I love the pumpkin all chained to him. He's a character out of Charles Dickens! I expect him to say "ullo, guvner! Oww AH ya!" He could be an old watchmaker from a 19th C novel. And he's definitely dressed for that period. And why is he stealing pumpkins, we ask? If there's an old tale by this name, I don't know it---I just love the idea. (Like someone didn't stop him and say, "uh, Nigel: Ya ever consider stealing something valuable??? Pumpkins??? Are you freakin' serious???") But he really is serious: And he has his trusty bulldog with him---I love this scene. If it's from something written, you did a great job. If it's all yours, even better. And the mist doesn't interfere at all: It's just---mist! Terrific image, Barb, I saw it when it went up, and I was sorry it was the last Halloween image from you this year.

i'm wondering if the dog is eyeing up his backside to take a large bite. A wonderful image with this pumpkin thief going to such a lot of trouble to steal the goods. Excellent work with the atmosphere and very cool props. Well done.:)
