My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

I once worked with a woman who owned property in the Scablands so I know a lot more than I should about the area. Quite a vista.

This is a very interesting part of your State with amazing formations. I had a look at the video and was very impressed though I think they could have found a better name for such an amazing place. This is a very beautiful capture of this lovey place. 😀

Great shot Hon. It gives a real feel for the vast, rugged expanses there. This place is a must see for visitors to the state of Washington. Must agree with npauling above, she makes a very good point:-)

Thankyou, Tara, most enjoyable! In the programme it was explained that the English Channel was formed in exactly the same way.

Such a strange collection of shapes and objects. Your low sweeping capture of the land has all the values you put into all your landscapes: fine tonal balance, fine shadows, fine atmospheric 'dissolve' (the gradual dissolve of deep space upon a landscape, sometimes interpreted as 'mist'), fine balance between open and cramped spaces...your sense of tone is painterly, and it helps pull this grab-bag of odd mounds and protrusions and flat lands, etc, together. Looks like a tough place to get a good photo, and you embraced it. With 2/3 sky on top, which brings peace to the whole. I really like the feel of this shot. And full view is imperative. (RR is now playing tricks with zooms: Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're small. And apparently it happens on some computers and not on others. I finally dragged the pic onto my desktop and opened it there: It's got sweep and grandeur, at 100%.)

This is indeed a fantastic landscape and the video tells why it looks like this. So very interesting. Thank you for sharing this.
