As always, thank you for all your support. Chapter 9 Ships Of The Line Solana watched as a large red battle droid exited the craft, followed by the bounty hunter. As they crossed the hangerbay, Solana realized the woman had to be 210 cm tall. She shook her head, this woman would be considered very beautiful back in the Federation except for her raven hair, which was cut in a mohawk, and her tattoos and piercings. "Stop and open up Tachi," The tall woman said casually as Solana stared at her tattooed arms with distaste. The droid stopped in front of the Admiral, the hatch on it's body opening, inside lay the unconcious Kirk. Janith Solana smiled. "Joshua Kirk, how good to see you," She nodded to Lt Cmdr Ami Wu. "See what condition he's in." Ami jumped onto the droid and lifted Joshua's head. The blood had been cleaned off, but the cuts and bruises were still there. Holding up a tricorder, she ran it over him. "Three broken ribs, two broken bones in his right hand, two in his left. And he has lacerations to the face and hands. He is also drugged." "Damn right he's drugged!" The bounty hunter exclaimed. "He killed two Wookiees and cost a third his leg! What the hell is he?" "A murderous psychopath, and war criminal," Solana said curtly. "You can go now." "Pay me first!" The tall woman demanded. "Maybe you don't realize where you are, bounty hunter," Solana replied, a sneer curling her lip. "You are at my mercy. Leave now." Emerald stared at her with contempt, then spoke a single word. "Fire." The ship shuddered from a hit from one of the Runner's turrets. "Admiral, we've taken a hit from the other ship," A voice said calmly over the intercom. "Shields are down to 22%. We are returning fire." "Very good. Send a security team to cargo bay 4," Another shot shook the ship. "Admiral, shields are gone, and our fire is having no effect on their shields." "They will continue to fire until I say otherwise." The bounty hunter said, crossing her arms. Emerald could see the two officers that stood to the side. The man she was sure was the ship's current commander, Gavin Mitchell. She knew he was a Soldier class. a dangerous man. But the woman, Ami Wu was the one she was worried about. Joshua had told her to be very careful with her. For in some ways he'd said, Ami Lynn was even deadlier than he was. A third hit rocked the ship harder than before. The two officers stared at the Admiral, waiting for her to give an order. But then Emerald noticed Wu's head twitch to the side, like she'd heard something. The bald woman turned her eyes to stare at her. It was then that she smiled slightly and glanced over at her unconscious cousin. Em knew then that Ami Lynn, not only knew what was happening, but that she would remain silent about it. "Admiral," The voice reported once again. "We have hull breaches on decks three and four." The two women stared at each other. "My men will take you into custody when they get here," Solana said, now nervous. "And my crew will destroy your ship," Em said with a slight smile on her lips. "Your choice, Love. Pay up, or we all die." The security team entered, weapons drawn. The ship shuddered from another hit. "Hull breaches on decks seven, eight, and nine, Admiral Solana." She waved the security team away. "You win!" "Cease fire," The tall woman said, the smile still there. "Mitchell, bring in the money," Solana said, then turned and walked for the shuttle bay exit. Stopping at the door she added one more thing. "You've got what you wanted, now leave, barbarian." Em stared at Solana several seconds before grinning. "Well, you do know that when barbarians conquer a people, they always take the vanquished's women home with them," Em continued to grin at her before turning to Ami Wu. "I might just take your little crew woman over here." "What do you say?" The tall woman bent down and whispered in Wu's ear. "Wanna come home with me and play lick the tattoos?" Ami's left eyebrow rose slightly. Emerald Montal smiled broadly and took the crate and left. After the two antagonists were gone, Gavin stared at Wu. "Were you seriously thinking about leaving with her?" He asked with surprise. "No!" Wu said with a smile. "But when she turned to me, she gave me a special wink. It's one we Class C kids came up with when we were four. It means check me out, I've got a surprise for the old guys," They both turned to the unconcious Joshua and grinned. Ami didn't tell Mitchell about the six people wearing cloaking devices that she'd heard sneaking off the bounty hunter's craft while the ship was being fired on. "All too easy," Emerald said as she grinned as Zell jettisoned the bomb. "I'll have to thank this Mitchell for leaving a note in the crate, warning us about the bomb. I hope he's the one that Ruby was talking about," She told Zell. "He's perfect for my mother." "Seesha, the girls, and MU-SO 1 get off fine?" Em asked the young man as they watched the device explode. "Yep. And all weapons have been deactivated. And they will lose access to their computers and intra ship communications in five minutes, access between decks will be stopped, all bulkhead doors closed, and all of these turbo lifts shut down. And only I can control access." "Josh will be awake by then," Em said with a nod. Janith Solana gave the unconcious form of Joshua Kirk a final kick. Marx demanded. "The Republic has opened the wormhole. The Federation and Labor Parties have been removed from power by Starfleet." "What?" Wu asked, shocked at this revelation. "Who told you?" "The Chief Of Starfleet Operations, Mandy Ross." "What happened to my mother?" Ami demanded. "Aunt Mandy said she retired when Excalibur went missing. But don't worry, Ami Lynn. She knows that the ship has been found, and is waiting for word from you." Ami's shoulders sagged with relief. "What's this about the Feds plotting against us?" Marx asked. "The damn fools tried to remove us from Starfleet and all governmental positions and round us up." "What?" Ami stared in amazement as Kirk told them what had happened. "Don't they know how many of us there are?" "Why, is what I want to know, Josh!" Dani asked, angrily. "They said we were a danger to the Federation." "Are they insane?" Wu was now visibly upset. "Calm down." Kirk said quietly. "Everything is going great. Most of them are locked up, and I've realized one of my life long goals." "And what would that be?" Dani asked. "I got to see Janith Solana Nekkid! And did she put on a great show!" Ami slapped her cousin on the back of the head. "Keep your mind out of the gutter!" She ordered. "Easy for you to say! I've just seen something that I've been wanting to see since I was twelve!" Kirk then touched his fingers to his bloody face. "But damn is she nuts!" Dani Marx stared in horror at the gashes and bruises on Joshua's face. Gradually though, her eyes slowly crept down his body. Soon she was choking back a laugh. "What's so funny?" Kirk demanded. "I can see why my sister Sasha was so fond of you," She said in a low voice. "For such a short guy, you're a big boy!" Ami grinned as she turned to her subordinate. "Now you know the secret of the success of the Kirk men. They's big! Aunt Nancy says David C is the same way." "Well Jacob isn't," The tall woman said with a smirk. "I walked in on him when he was in bed with Sue. He's not small, but he's got nothing like that," She chuckled as she pointed at Joshua's groin. "Watch how you talk about my brother. He's on that ship that's sitting out there. He's been assigned to Excalibur." "Oh joy, a Kirk on the ship," Ami said in mock disgust. But then she brightened up "Oh joy! A Kirk we can order around!" The two women grinned, one to another. "Enjoy it while you can," Joshua said smuggly. "He's half Picard, and he's been raised a Kirk. The boy will be commanding both of you quickly. He's destined for great things." "Of course!" Dani returned. "It's the Kirk part that will take him places. We've had three consecutive generations of Kirks who've become Chief Of Starfleet Operations. And then you add in the fact that boy's very mother is slated to become Chief soon and you'll find that his career is blessed."
