Description

A few weeks ago at the Old Hidalgo Pump House and World Birding Center. I didn't think this was mesquite because there are no thorns that I could see, but I'm sure there are several varieties. Filtering of some sort, but I've forgotten now what I did. Bill and I will be leaving Texas next week. We'll spend a week in Savannah, Georgia, and then be back in Washington State for the summer. We won't be on line while we're gone, so you can expect to see me back here after around April 20th or so. In the meantime, I expect to take a LOAD of pictures! Hopefully I'll be able to show you Savannah when we get back home.

Well, whatever it is it makes for a beautiful green space. Looking forward to pictures of your trip. Have a great time and be careful. The weather has been really freaky this year.

What a very special kind of leaves this tree has, Tara. Never seen such one like this. I hope you both have a lovely time, full of joy, and a safe trip to home again.

returning for a few more, tonight...love the sense of fern-like leaves falling into this shot, with that 'sea of green' in the background, in bokeh. A very jungle-like shot, even though it's hardly in a jungle. Full size a must. And the yellows are sweet accents to brighten up the sea of green. Full size, this is enveloping. Very enticing work, Tara.

I know I tend to save your gallery for near the end of my stints here, but I hope you know it's because I love to have that to look forward to. It's one of the truly special treats I save for my last night or so. (It's definitely not because I gag at the thought of commenting on your pics! God forbid! Or have to hold my nose when I finally 'get' here...it's always a great treat to look forward to. I'm just sorry I'm not here enough days to comment on everything---even though I see everything, without exception...)
