The story continues from the last render.... We were back at one of Miho's hidden base of operations in less than 10 minutes. She took a quick shower and changed into comfy cloths. Refreshed she had a smile on her face. I had already redirected the satellite feed to the central holographic console. Miho came and sat down on the chair with her legs folded. She liked it that way specially when she knew we might be spending hours in front of this holographic console. The wolf was there too. It was extremely tired following Miho around for the past month and a half. Miho told it to rest for now. Currently all the information regarding the Corporation's airplane was being displayed. The holographic console was displaying the airplane and the terrain over which it was flying in real time. It was flying pretty low and avoiding all populated area. I guess they had stealth technology too to hide from the nation's radar over which they were flying. But there was no stealth technology out there which Miho could not defeat. So it was fairly easy to track this airplane. In fact if she wanted to she could spoof all the navigation data the airplane's navigation systems relied upon and send it to where she wanted to go and if she really wanted to she could take over the airplane itself and fly it remotely from here. We wanted to monitor the communication between airplane and their base of operations. But nothing was heard. They had complete radio silence. Miho still wanted to hear what the people in the airplane were talking about. I said that was not possible. Miho simply smiled and typed in something fast on the touch screen display. Suddenly I could hear people talking within the airplane. It was not very clear but at least we could still hear every word. I asked Miho how she did that and well to say the least most of it went over my head. Suffice to say I was impressed with what she had managed to do. Miho said this was still in its infancy and that she had a lot more work to do. We listened in silence as the faint words started to come over the speakers... Person 1 : ".... to work with you on the killer robot project Sir" Person 2 : "Ah huh" Person 1 : "I think there will be nothing out there to counter us once we are done. We will be able to counter that unknown entity easily with the robots guarding all our bases." Person 2 : "You better make sure of it or it will be your head" Person 1 : "Yes sir" Few seconds of silence.... Person 1 : "Sir, if I may ask you, I heard rumors that where we are going to a town that is completed void of people, how did we manage that without any attention ?" Person 2 : "Pretty simple and effective method actually. We infected couple of people from the town with a plague created by one of our labs. Once the symptoms manifested, some died. At first people did not think about it much. So we continued to infect people now and then. As more deaths occurred and the local doctor could not figure out what was going on, people got spooked and families started to leave the town one after the other. Soon things started to fall to despair... no garage collection, shortage of day to day things... More people left..." Person 1 : "Very clever Sir. Making them leave on their own accord would not raise any suspicion and making them believe that they left on their own accord would mean there would not be any talk about it once they left. They probably were a superstitious lot and thought of that town as a bad omen." Person 2 : "Well, we left nothing to chance. We monitored all their calls and every person left in the town. As we expected the local doctor even tired to call WHO to report the deaths but we intercepted the call and promised to send a medical team which obviously was our medical team disguised as a WHO medical team. After spending a couple of days of doing nothing but pretending to help, we announced to the town folks that it was the ground water here that was contaminated. And well, as there was no other source of water, those who were still there also packed up and left. We monitored that town and all the people who had left for 2 months and killed every story in the local and regional media that had mentioned the town. Soon everyone forgot about the town. Those who had heard of the deaths by word of mouth also forgot about the town. The day to day living was all they wanted to deal it. Who cared about a town that everyone had left." Person 1 : "Sir, I never knew the scale of the Corporations operations." Person 2 : "I am telling you this as you just got your clearance and this is your first job for us. If you tell this to anyone, you will literally loose your head. Just know that the Corporation does not tolerate failure and if you do anything to attract attention to yourself, even get a speeding ticket or get caught taking drugs or drunk driving or anything else, the Corporation will have you killed. They absolutely dislike any kind of attention falling on their personnel. So remember that. You must be invisible to everyone around you. Be the most boring person you can be when outside in public. No one should remember you." Person 1 : "Yes Sir. I will keep that in mind". Silence fell in the airplane... Miho's face grew darker. Person 1 : "Sir, if I may ask, why did we need to get rid of the people from the town ?" Person 2 : "There is a huge deposit of minerals and ores under that town we need for mass scale production of our killer robots." Person 1 : "Ah, I see Sir. Btw. Sir where is the underground base ?" Person 2 : "There is a hill near the town. It is deep inside that hill" Person 1 : "Oh I see"... There was silence again.... Miho and I just looked at each other. Anger rising in both of us. We decided that we will wait until they landed and see where they went. Once we saw the hidden entrance they used, we would know how we could get in. Both of us just stared at the holographic image of that flying airplane.... mass scale killer robots... what is the world coming too.... didn't these idiots know that those robots can kill them as easily as they killed other ??? The story will continue form the next render...

The "No Hand Hold" sign in my last render that a lot of you commented on is actually from the original dress texture :). When I showed Miho that, she just burst out giggling and did not stop giggling for some time. I was thinking about removing the sign but her giggling told me I didn't need to. In any case, warning or no, if some dumb guy tries to get fresh with her, his life would change permanently to assisted living before he even makes his move. This render took time to create. I am someone who kinda does not think how I am going to continue the story when I write a chapter. So every time I want to continue a story I need to think what am I going to render and write. I don't have any particular ending in my mind other than well Miho comes on on top. So again for this one I had to think how I was going to continue the story. This render and write up is what I came up with. Every single material your see on every single object has been modified or completed changed to meet my needs. From the chair, to the console to the holographic terrain to the airplane to the walls, carpet, monitors, curved displays, lights, clothing.... everything has gone through a change. In this render too I am using multiple sets. In fact 2 Sci-fi set plus other elements from other sets. With one I had a problem. Most of the set was a single mesh and I needed to hide parts of it. Basically I just wanted to use the central console and the holographic display from one of the set and walls and other things from other sets. But there was no separate mesh for it. So using the Surfaces in the Octane materials editor I changed opacity of a lot of elements to 0 so as to 'remove' them from the scene. For the curved displays, I used clear specular material with IOR. Hence you see reflection and refraction on the curved displays of the elements in the room. These are all lit by a light emitters. I added emitters to all the holographic displays. Also I masked out parts of the orange circular holographic display that you see. It had stars in the original texture. I removed them as stars above and below the airplane on this render would not look right. To make the holographic image of the airplane, I simply used a airplane model, scaled it down and used the same material that I used on the terrain. I color coordinated most of the room and Miho's top into a black and red theme. The far wall actually looked plain before so I added a pattern texture to it. I think it looks more like how Miho would do it. The original sets were all white and well here you don't really see anything white. Basically I changed all materials. The big monitor on the top right that you see is actually a table display from a sci-fi set. I titled it to a vertical position and move it into a wall as though it was another large display unit. Scaled it down a bit. Again I am happy how this looks overall. There are some flaws that I should have noticed before it had already completed multi hour render. Oh well, gotta live with it for the time being. I might re-render this at a later date. PS : I have re-rendered it. Fixed the flaws I found and this time used different lighting. I think it looks better.
