My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

I am familiar with the history of the South but I still think it was nice of Sherman not to burn down everything. Another superb capture.

A very beautiful house and thankyou for the background information as sadly I will never be able to see this for real. The trees really set this place off. I love your capture. 😀

A lovely photo, Tara - I do love those old southern homes - they have so much personality..
Yeah, this last update was a minor gust of wind compared that cyclone 'Revolution' a couple years ago.. I still get nauseous remembering it... ewwww

yeah I know, you don't usually take shots of 'whole houses', lol, but I'm glad you did here. This one shines in the bleaching sunlight, while the trees give a curtained veil around its beautiful facade. I had no idea Johnny Mercer came from here, and I DID see "Midnight in the Garden (etc etc)," and don't remember this house. But I love the blast of light it provides through the overhanging richness of the trees. And the low-laying car, whose lines help the horizontals flow smoothly. And the glimpse of the street moving away from us, on the right: Reminds me of Old Town (in Chicago), with its red brick sidewalks...Another lush, beautiful capture. And the house has certain Georgian elements as well (though it may not be Georgian...)
