Description

Coming direct from RIAT a first time ever there and here, USAF F-35A, P-51D 'Hun Hunter / Texas', and Spitfire (Desert Camo). There managed three passes like this, must confess the F-3 was struggling and at a high angle. And....blue skies! Rob

It's a personal thing, but I reckon the F-35A's are butt ugly......and lets not get into all there problems....just my 2 cents worth. The raptors are much better looking to my eye............anyway a great shot mate.

I agree with Andrew, most modern aircraft although built for practical terms kinda lack the graceful looks of older fighters.

Excellent shot.

Lovely shot and I have high hopes the F-35 will live up to the Spit and Mustang.

Cool shot of the past and present fighter aircraft. Read that Boeing is working on more advanced versions of the F-15.

Just my 99p worth here. I think the F.35 is a corporate money making machine that, according to a RAF body (can't mention names) at Marham, home of the RAF aircraft, he says its a fine aircraft that will be ready in 10 years once it woks properly!!! We (Britain) could have bought 3 fully equipped Typhoon squadrons for the very small number of F-35's (that don't work 100% yet), and have them up to full service spec straight away. Likewise with the U.S Raptor. No wait, no worry. Its ALL about the money mate!

I went to Tailhook in 2010 just to give a bit of a push to the C version as it had not yet stopped bouncing it's tail hook. That is how I keep up with what is not designed on the back of napkins and flown in 90 days.
