Description
Brent brings the Mercury car shell home. His Dad helps him to unload it into their shop.
"Thanks, Dad! I sure appreciate your help!" say Brent. " I wasn't sure you would approve
of this project."
"I've been watching you, son, for a long time. I think I know when you are ready for a
project like this one. You have helped me on a lot of my projects and I know you have
learned a great deal along the way. This project is really going to test your abilities!"
said his Dad.
"At this point in the process, it certainly looks like an up hill battle. I know there
are a lot of hurdles to clear to get to the finish line." said Brent.
"Judging from the condition of this body, your are starting off pretty lucky. This old
lady must want to be put back together. Most bodies sitting out like she has been would
have been so badly rusted they wouldn't have been worth trying to restore. She is in
amazing condition for what she has gone though." said his Dad.
"Mr. Olgilvie says he has another couple sheds with parts for her. I know we need a great
many items. So numerous, looking at her now, I am almost sorry I decided to do the
rescue." said Brent.
"Now don't go getting discouraged on me right away!" said his Dad. "We will put this old
lady back together if we have to scour the whole county for missing parts! What do you
say to that?"
"Gee Dad! I'm sure glad you are helping me!"

exciting turn of events. good he is getting some help. I took auto mechanics in high school, but it was difficult to learn without hands on. there were too many students. I did get the basics and I put them to use doing repairs on my various cars. I had damaged my 55 Chevy front end and found an entire front end at a salvage that was the same blue as my former car for $45. now you can not even touch a grille for less than $350.00. I worked all day before Christmas with snow dripping in my face changing the fenders, bumper, grille with a cold 28 degree day. at least a neighbor let me use his garage

I remember the times spent working with my brother on my car, I learned a lot tracing an electrical problem. Great image.

Brent shouldn't have so many tools and oil drums strewn around the garage! It's a health and safety issue! lol Just that I love to see the fenders of these old and never to be repeated classic cars! lol EXCELLENT perspective and composition!

Wonderful story and render, my friend! Brings back a lot of wonderful memories of working on cars with my dad when I was a kid. there were times when I would have rather been playing, but it was always interesting, and I always soon forgot about playing. Miss those days with Dad..
