Wonderful of you to do this for Steve when he's been going through a lot of struggle. And I love that you made it a defiant pirate, who ain't lettin' go of his treasure. Love the light, it seems like a late day (sunset) light, with a storm brewing. Great pinkish grays and golds and yellows. And a guy who looks a little like Charlton Heston (can he part seas?). And a really well done bay with all the rock detail and water (and even a starfish!). He's got---what---3 or 4 pistols on his outfit? And a sword, maybe a shotgun, and bow and arrow in back? (Expecting a little trouble, sir??? Rough neighborhood???) More of your subtle humor. I see Steve loves it, and I can see he's been a fan of yours for a long time now (you deserve it)...wonderful dedi and magical piece, Barb.

(Btw, speaking of Charlton Heston parting the Red Sea: I finally saw The Ten Commandments, after years and years---I'd last seen it when I was 12. It's a big wabagoon whacked out spectacular, with huuuuuge scenes and stilted stances; and the dialogue can make you a little batty---the writers said they were so filled with "importance" from the director, they could barely breathe...but the colors are to die for, de Mille's miracles are painterly and huge---even Martin Scorcese ((of Raging Bull and Goodfellas fame)) adored the special fx---and it's a big phantasmagorical carnival, with commandments thrown in for dessert. This image is much subtler, but that guy's stance and gaze reminded me a bit of that old crazy warhorse...)
