Description

This is just to the right out of the frame of the preceding (following) image. The model gives a good idea of what SAVANNAH looked like in her prime and a little background information on the "why" for building the ship. You can take the statement with a grain of salt, but I believe there is more than a grain of truth to it. We knew how to split atoms for bombs and for propelling warships, so it made sense to show that smallish reactors could be used for other things. Besides, this was the 50s, there was no stopping progress. There are other displays, but time was getting on. It was about this time that I realized I'd been shooting, all day, with super ISO settings of 1600 and causing all that grain and noise which is so visible in the full views. Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
