I came back for one day today, and was sorry that you hadn't posted a new piece...then, when I looked tonight, boom: You posted a new piece! Voila! When I saw this, I thought, "living in New England, this is exactly what you should be dreaming of!" (Ditto for Chicago...our beach is nothing like this one...not even close...) What a loving shaded beach scene you created: Both characters are in shade, and the light is mostly behind them, with that beautiful sea and spotless sky as their backdrop. Love that the young girl is contemplating a butterfly, and that the woman has her back to us as she looks into infinity. (Also love that she's holding some branches, maybe to take inside as decoration.) A perfect lazy day at the beach, with two people content to just be. Lovely work Barb, and loving. So glad you posted today!
