Used to have a 74 Super Beetle, think it was smaller than that one though, but it was fun to drive though.

Love your imagination! Love this fairy riding on a big, crusty, spike-y beetle, and she seems perfectly at home (and the beetle seems very content about the whole thing). Love your deep red and red-brown theme, in the beetle and the fairy's wings and in some of those beautiful stalks. This is very summery, but it has real autumnal hints (considering the autumns where you come from, this is right in line); and that swan back there is beautiful. And I love how the beetles's back legs are out of focus, and the the back of the image feels like a soft dream. A little glimpse into paradise; and you chose a big encrusted armor-coated beast as one of its stars---bravo! "Fan" comes from the word "fanatic"---which sums up how I feel about your work. Wonderful piece! I hope you're doing well, Barb, as fall prepares for another blessed appearance...
