Whoopee! You're back with Daz Studio Barbara! I'm so pleased! This is superb! Like a painting that's been in the Rex Hotel in Singapore in the late 1950's when I was there! Fabulous my friend!

A wonderful scene, and it reminds me of seeing similar scenes back in Thailand when I was stationed there back in the Vietnam days. So peaceful and serene.
Wonderful DS work, Barb!

more of me just roaming about in your (semi) earlier work...(I mean oct of last year isn't exactly "old," but still...) You created a very medieval Japanese feeling...the architecture is very much an older Japanese maybe Chinese style, and the lotuses in the pool are perfect for that. But you also created a kind of yearning for something, or a sense of being cut off (Alone in His World), as if this warrior is no longer useful, and, despite the beauty of his home, he seems bereft, lost...his clothing seems almost an artifact, all of a sudden. And then you gave your image a jaundiced cast, which makes it feel like a samurai who's days of calling are long over, and he doesn't quite know what to do w/ himself. It's beautifully evoked, Goldie, and your sky has a magical tint to it. Mysterious, haunting and magical, like a scene from a tale of an old warrior, wandering amongst the weeds of his once thriving, beautiful home...
