I was doing some work on the outside of the house a couple days ago, and this mantis wandered over to keep me company. From the size of this critter, I suspect it's a female. Male mantises don't normally get this big (they usually end up being eaten first...). She seemed interested in the gloves for some reason. She watched me for a while, and finally decided watching me paint the window sill was pretty boring, so she wandered off to the nearby bush. The main Photoshop machine seems to have straightened itself out, and is working normally again.
