Description

Wow, it's the weekend once more, so cool, I got to sleep in a bit later!! Yesterday, I was a productive guy... I was painting, or actually, finished painting that sky I added into my FREE2USE Album. But, I was also going back and forth from painting and to my computer for setting up a scene in Bryce, digitally. As I've said before, I use my digital work to create compositions that I may decide to paint later. This one is called “Land of the Pixies” and I rendered in in Bryce 7.1 Pro. Before I go into detail how I got the idea of this scene, I can say that I was thinking out of the box. My concept for this fantasy landscape was this: What if I could make the sun itself look like a flower, with radiant sunbeams that look like flower peddles softly glowing in the sky. I thought, man, this is a place where Fairy's and Pixies would love to live. I really don't know how I would have been able to paint that idea correctly, the way I can with my computer. It would defiantly require allot of subtle glazes and washes on the canvas to get this look. So, to achieve this sky and paint it traditionally would require a good reference. So, now I have my reference! To get this sky, or Sun idea... I used one of my fractal rendered flowers and imported it into Bryce as a Spherical Sky and blended it with a Bryce preset sky. It took a lot of time and imagination to set up this scene! But, the fact I have my newly built custom digital workstation, it didn’t take nearly the amount of time to render, once all of the object where in place. Anyway, I hope you like this one, it was fun to work on and create!! Take care and hope you all have a lovely weekend ahead my friends!! :-) Created by Artist Dan Seitzinger – www.danseitzinger.com
